Mrs. Hardin was 99 years old having been born on December 28th, 1921. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Curry Childress, her son Michael Hardin, her grandson Clay Curry, her granddaughter Megan Curry Campbell, her granddaughter Kema Jo Gilley, her great grandsons Taylor Curry and Stephen Curry and her great granddaughter Katelyn Curry.
She was predeceased by her son David William Curry, her mother Mattie Lenor West Smith, her father Isaac Warren Smith, her three sisters Vera Smith Hatcher, Minnie Lee Smith Harper; Pauline Smith Moores as well as her brothers Walter Smith, Carl Smith & I.W. Smith Jr.
Mrs. Hardin was a long-time, active member of both the First Baptist Church of Rendon, Texas as well as Worth Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. She was dedicated and passionate about her roles as Sunday school teacher, mentor and soul winner valuing her relationship with Jesus Christ above all else. Her involvement with The 29’ers (a senior fellowship at Worth Baptist Church) was central to the joy she experienced participating in church activities.
She was known for her precise attention to detail and her desire to serve and support her family as well as others in distress or in need of comfort. Her passing has left a void in our hearts that we will be hard-pressed to fill.
