Calvin Gary Montgomery, 71, passed away Monday, October 2nd while in hospice care at Baylor Carrollton. He was surrounded by family throughout the weekend and is reunited in Heaven with his wife, Carolyn and daughter, Nancy. Gary was born on June 5th, 1946 in Phillips, Texas to Calvin Leland and Nancy Louella. He was the 2nd oldest of three children: brother to Loretta and Bruce. He graduated from Borger High School where he was active in FFA and anything outdoors. After high school, Gary began a long career in the transportation industry which ultimately led him to meet the love of his life, Carolyn Sue Montgomery, in 1975. They were both working for Rick’s Furniture in Downtown Dallas. He ultimately spent over 30-years on DFW Airport as a truck driver and dispatcher – known to be a man of integrity and who would get the job done. He enjoyed fishing for crappie, working on cars, exploring the great outdoors, especially anything in the mountains of New Mexico or Colorado. Most notably, he was actively involved with the men’s group at First Baptist Grapevine for 18 years – where he cherished the deepest friendships of his life.
