Born in Mount Sterling, Kentucky the son of William and Lydia Clark, Carl was a longtime resident of Hurst. He moved to Texas to attend Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie. He was selected to be a member of several gospel music groups and traveled the country representing the college and the missions department of the Assemblies of God.
Carl married the love of his life, Maxine, and started building their life and family together. To support a growing family, Carl took a position in sales and spent the rest of his career as a successful salesperson with several companies.
After retiring from sales, Carl spent time pursuing his hobbies and passions that included golf, cooking, woodworking, inventing, learning to fly, and creating clipart cards for those he loved.
In his later years, his burden for spreading the good news of Jesus Christ was evident to those around him. He never missed an opportunity to demonstrate Christ's love and share the story of salvation to everyone he met.
Clark leaves his wife of 62 years, Maxine Vickers Clark; his daughter, Carla Clark Hale and husband, Calvin Hale, of Bedford; sons, Phillip and wife, Linda, of North Richland Hills, Bruce and wife, Ruth, of North Richland Hills, Paul of Plano, Gregory and Deborah of Fort Worth; sister, Helen Robinson of South Bend, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly
