Carole Ellen Coggins, age 84, passed away on August 25, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on July 23, 1942, in Borger, Texas, to Raymond and LaVern Lloyd. Carole was raised in Boyd, Texas, and graduated from Boyd High School.
Carole married Gerald Coggins in 1994. She worked as an assembler at Lockhead Martin for many years earning the respect of her coworkers through her dedication, strong work ethic and craftsmanship.
Carole absolutely loved going fishing. She met Gerald through the Fort Worth Bass Association and spent as much time as possible on the water. They were avid fisherman who enjoyed tournament fishing earning numerous awards and trophies that served as lasting reminders of their adventures together. After a long day on the lake, their favorite thing to do was eat at Whataburger. She loved her hamburgers and Diet Cokes.
Those who knew Carole will remember her as a loving person with a heart of gold. Carole cherished spending time with family and friends playing dominoes and making memories with those she loved most.
Carole was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Coggins; parents, Raymond and LaVern Lloyd; brothers, Charles Lloyd and Jim Lloyd; nephews, Scotty Farson and Eric Farson.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Ramey; nephew, David Farson; stepdaughter, Connie Austin and her husband, Joey Austin; and grandson, Derian Austin.
Her spirit and smile will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. on Wednesday, September 2; Celebration of Life will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 3, with interment to follow, all held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034.
