I sent this last night on behalf of the family…

On behalf of our family, we would like to share a few words in honor of Miss Carole.

In 1999–2000, we moved a few houses down from Miss Carole and her husband, Mr. Chris. From the very beginning, they became more than neighbors; they became part of our lives.

Miss Carole was a teacher through and through, disciplined, consistent, and deeply committed. Nearly every morning, she left for work just as we headed to school, and in the evenings she returned home with the same steady dedication. Her routine reflected her character: dependable, purposeful, and full of care.

In the evenings, she and Mr. Chris would walk to the mailbox, always stopping to speak, always asking about our family, and always showing genuine kindness. As a family of African descent, we never questioned her sincerity it was real, warm, and unconditional.

Miss Carole showed us what quiet love looks like, love shown through consistency, presence, and respect. She cared for our family, our mother, and each of us children in ways that left a lasting mark.

Though she is no longer with us, we believe Miss Carole is once again walking beside Mr. Chris, at peace and at rest.

We thank her family for sharing her with us, and we pray that you are comforted by the many beautiful memories you shared.

As Scripture reminds us:
“Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.” Matthew 25:23

May her soul rest in peace, and may her legacy of kindness continue to live on in all of us.

This photo was taken Mother’s Day 2025. It was always an honor to celebrate her as a mother and grandmother in the extended Davis Family. Her wit and character always assured a fun time. She will be greatly missed.
