Carolyn Aletha Boyer

Carolyn Aletha Tugwell Boyer, of Krum, Texas passed away on September 1, 2023 at her home in Krum, Texas. Carolyn will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, devoted wife, faithful friend, and member of Southmont Baptist Church. Carolyn was born on March 4, 1935 in Levelland, Texas to Noel and Louise Tugwell. She grew up in west Texas and moved to Arkansas to graduate from Quachita High School, Donaldson, Arkansas. She attended one year of college at Quachita Baptist College, and then met and married the love of her life, Harry Boyer in 1955. Harry was in the US Air Force. The couple had three children, Mark, Tim, and Kay. They were married for 59 years.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Harry and grandson Preston Boyer. She is survived by: oldest son Mark, spouse Jill and his children Elizabeth and spouse Adam Heckert, and Brandon; son Timothy, spouse Marlyn and children Naomi and Shawn Kerr, Jacob Boyer and spouse Lindy; daughter Kay and spouse Scott Frost and their daughter Michelle and spouse Chris Cagle. She is also survived by great grandchildren Alexandria Heckert and Asher Cagle.

Carolyn was generous with her time; delivering meals on wheels, cooking for church functions, serving several missionary families. She was also generous with her gifts to numerous organizations and charitable organizations from Peru, Indonesia, and Texas Baptist Men’s Organization.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 am Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel 5725 Colleyville BLVD, Colleyville, TX 76034 with interment immediately following at the same location.
