Clara Marie Yates Whitford

Clara Marie Whitford was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Clara will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

       She was the daughter of Bart and Pearl Yates.

      Clara was raised with eleven siblings; Lula, Jessie, Irvina, Ora, Nora, Irvan, Ivan, Evelyn, Margaret, Lawrence, and Wanda. Clara was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.

       Empathic and loyal, Clara was committed to making her new family happy.

      Clara worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Clara was blessed with two children, son Gary and daughter Gina. Another blessing for Clara was the gift of three grandchildren, Trent, Cameron, and Neal.

      Clara passed away on March 4, 2016 in North Richland Hills, Texas. She is survived by her two children; Gary and Gina, three grandchildren; Trent, Cameron, and Neal, and three sisters; Lula, Jessie, and Irvina. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. Clara was laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.

      Simply stated, Clara was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Clara leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Clara Marie Whitford.

Mrs. Whitford was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Whitford of 49 years; siblings: Ora Cayce, Nora Pickard, Irvin Yates. Ivan Yates, Evelyn Reed, Margaret Yates, Lawrence Yates and Wanda Rose
