Dale will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend, and a dedicated elevator man to all that knew and loved him. He was born on January 13, 1936 in Big Springs, Texas to Helen Louise (Sanders) and J.T. Tolar.
Dale went to Tremble Tech High School in Fort Worth, Texas and ran track as a teen. On February 23, 1971 Dale married the love of his life, Merle (Baker) Tolar. They loved their children, loved to travel, and loved their schnauzer puppies. Dale had many hobbies and accomplishments throughout his life. He started his extensive career in the elevator trade in 1958 until his retirement in 2021. He was also an endowed member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.
Dale is survived by his wife, Merle Tolar (Richland Hills, Tx); brother, Tim & wife Stacey (Alaska); son, Devan and wife Thea (Hurst, Tx); daughter, Belinda Hernly (Gilmer, Tx); daughter, Terry and husband Brian Stribling (Keller, Tx); grandchildren, Shane Tolar, Dustin Tolar, Ricky Peters, Pamela Stanley, Amanda Heath, Cameron Stribling, Jordan Stribling, Ian Tolar, Brittney Tolar, Matthew Tolar, Jeremy Tolar, Elizabeth Tolar and numerous great grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Helen and JT Tolar; son, Dale Tolar Jr.; son, Wesley Tolar; and son, Russell Tolar.
The graveside funeral service will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 10:00am, with a gathering at the Tolar home, proceeding the service.
