Daniel G. McCullough

Daniel McCullough, of Watauga Texas, passed away on Wednesday 4/10/2019 in Ft Worth Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving father, friend, brother, brother in-law, uncle, church and choir member to all that knew and loved him. He was born on 10/03/1926 in Brooklyn, New York to Clarence S. McCullough and Eunice K. Goldsmith McCullough. He served our country in World War II as a naval gunner on a DD250 Destroyer and fired coverage over our men on D Day. He then joined the Army/Airforce and did photography at the Pentagon. He then decided to join the Marine Corp Reserves and was sent to Korea in the first wave as a Machine Gunner and marks-men. He graduated from Santa Monica College with his engineering degree. He lost his first wife Mayranne in 1961 in an automobile accident and in 1964 he married the love of his life Mary they were married almost 40 year’s before she passed in 2002. He inspected the tail end section of the first 737, and retired from Bell Helicopter where he was a Gear Inspector. He was an incredible cook and baker, he enjoyed bowling, baseball, swimming, fishing, dancing, travelling and singing in his church choir. Daniel McCullough is survived by his daughter’s Dondena and Melinda McCullough, his brother and sister in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by both of his parents Clarence and Eunice McCullough, Mary McCullough his wife, Nettie Cannon his mother in-law, Charles and Constance his brother in-law and oldest sister, Robert and Nancy his brother and sister in-law, Mike and Joan his brother in-law and youngest sister, Michael McCarty his nephew, Katherine McCullough Goodman his daughter and Gary Goodman his son in-law, Richard Atkins his brother in-law.

The visitation will be held from 2-4 o’clock p.m. on Sunday 4/14/2019 at Bluebonnet Hills funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 o’clock p.m. on Monday 4/15/2019 at Bethesda Community Church. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Biography
