David Llewellyn, age 66, of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 in Grapevine, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, father, Poppy and friend to all that knew him.
David was born on August 21, 1954 in Austin, Texas to James and Marilyn Llewellyn. Shortly after birth, David and his parents moved to Germany where his father was stationed in the United States Army. After returning to the United States and becoming a big brother to 6 brothers and 1 sister, David spent the majority of his younger life growing up on the East side of Fort Worth. He attended school at Nolan Catholic School and was a 1972 graduate of Eastern Hills High School. He continued his education at the University of Texas in Arlington where he majored in Economics. Throughout his life, he loved spending time working on cars and tinkering around the house. After managing a Taco Bueno and Safeway, his hobby would lead him to own and operate several companies including a heavy machinery moving company, Hercules Industrial and later to open the neighborhood swimming pool service, Pool Patrol. He had many titles during his life but the one he was most proud of was being called Poppy by his 3 grandchildren, Lawson, Kaitlyn, and Carter. He spent the past few years watching them play together and rolling with them up and down the street.
David is survived by his children, Lyndsay Baker (Kevin) and Andrew Llewellyn, grandchildren Lawson, Kaitlyn, Logan, and Kyndel Baker, and Carter Llewellyn, all of North Richland Hills, Texas; parents James Donald and Marilyn Rose Llewellyn of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers Frank Llewellyn (Arleen), Robert Llewellyn (Shirley), John Llewellyn (Tina), Paul Llewellyn, Steve Llewellyn (Shannon), and Charlie Llewellyn, all of various parts of the Dallas/Fort Worth area; sister Sandra Yeric (Greg) of Austin, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
