David George Lord passed from this life on February 20, 2019 at age 54. David truly celebrated every day of his life and saw the best in every person and situation he encountered. David’s enthusiasm and infectious optimism affected everyone he met. Forever a kid at heart, he lived and loved like there was no tomorrow. David loved his family and his friends passionately and made sure they knew how much he cared for them. He was caring and always eager to lend a helping hand. Nobody was a stranger in the presence of David Lord.
David was born on March 2, 1964 and quickly made himself known with his quick wit, his optimism, and his zest for life. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1987, and began his 20+ year career at Atmos Energy soon after. David discovered true love for the first time when his daughters, Anna and Emily, were born in 1991 and 1993. One of David's biggest passions was music and attending concerts and he shared this passion with his friends and his daughters. David was an avid sports fan and loved gathering with his friends to play golf and watch football. David loved the simple life and enjoyed nothing more than spending time outdoors in the pool with his family and his best friend Jet, the golden retriever.
