Dena Sauld Johnson of Watagua, Texas, passed away on January 8th, 2019. Dena will always be remembered as a kind-hearted woman, a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.

Dena enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, whether it was on vacations or monthly Pokeno nights she organized. No one could feel like a stranger when she was around. Dena loved to attend concerts, and benefits with friends (always in her infamous flip flops no matter the weather), or lounging by her pool. Her zest for life, laughing, banana nut bread recipe and constant monitoring of her daughter’s mouth will be deeply missed.

Proceeded in death by her parents Eugene and Yvonne Sauld.

Lovingly remembered by daughter; Yvonne and Brandy Jasper, sister; Chris Sauld, niece; Jovonne Robertson, Step mother; Helen Sauld, bonus daughters; Kelsey Lawson and Adam Lawson, Courtney Ripple and Billy Ripple. A wealth of family that were friends and friends that were like family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Heather's Old Skool Village in Lake Worth.

Dena, was a very special lady and will be missed by all who knew her. My heart is with her family and special friends like Jami Brown. I wish I could have come to the Service, but I was sick. I met Dena when I started to work for the Chase on Border St in Check Review. She was my Supervisor and JoElla Floyd my manager. Jami Brown later became my Supervisor. We also worked with Keri Albert and Jill McAuley and so many others. Some people no matter the years that pass remain in your heart forever. These Ladies are some of those. So many special memories. Will love and miss you always, Dena.

I was blessed 26 years ago to meet my "sister". We had so much in common: loss of a mother too soon, being the baby of the family etc.. Through the years we had so many adventures. To know this is the end absolutely breaks me. She brought such joy, laughter & comfort into the lives she came in contract with. I used to tease her " she could strike up a conversion with a total stranger " and within 5 minutes you'd be convinced they'd known each other for years. For me, just knowing we could talk about anything, yet nothing at the same time was a true comfort. Words cannot convey the longing i have to talk to you one more time. You'll always have a place in my heart. And I'll always be here for Yvonne. I love you sister 💖

Joe and I have many fond memories of visiting Mike and Kim when they lived next door to your mom. I also have a fond memory of you all visiting Laura and Ed in CT and you, your mom, Laura, Connor and I went into NY City by train and saw Lion King on Broadway. She will surely be missed. I'm so sorry Yvonne. Remember you are in our thoughts and prayers.
