He will always be remembered as a loving Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and caring Friend.
Densil was born on April 19, 1944 in Farmersville, Texas to Henry Lee and Mrytle M Tadlock.
His mother referred to him as her "Victory Baby" due to the v shaped birthmark on his forehead, believed to have been the result of a oil lamp exploding during her pregnancy.
His father and siblings lovingly called him " Sugar Cane" a name he did not enjoy but his brothers certainly did Especially his Brother John Henry.
Densil only received a 3rd grade education before trading in his book bag for a cotton sack to work alongside his father in the cotton fields. Although He was born with a severe speach impairment and never learned to read and write, he didn't let that hold him back. Densil had a strong work ethic and was a self-taught man. He excelled in his work and became a supervisor at every job he ever took.
When Densil was 14 he met the love of his life while being a chaperone for his Brother Jerry on his first date with Ms. Barabara Somers accompanied by her baby sister, Phyllis who was 12 years old and sporting a short haircut. Densil told her she looked like a boy and she replied " Well I am going to marry you someday". Four years later on December 16, 1962 they were joined in marriage. Densil and Phyllis had 3 children together and remained married until her passing at the young age of 44. Densil cherished his wife and for the remaining 30 years of his life never remarried. Anyone who spent time with him in those years would tell you not a day went by that he did not speak of her.
Densil Loved working the Little Keechi Creek Ranch in Palo Pinto, Texas. He took great pride in being " a real cowboy" He talked to the cattle and horses just like he did his own children. Anyone who witnessed this would tell you those Longhorns knew he meant business.
On April 15, 2020, Densil celebrated 40 years of Sobriety. Densil found fulfillment in working with people who suffered from the effects of Alcoholism. Through the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous Densil developed a Graceful Spirit, Patience abounding, and a Wisdom not of this world.
