

Derek James Pearse was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Derek will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
He was the son of James and Margaret Pearse.
Derek was raised with two sisters Dawn and Daphne. Derek was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his sisters. He and his sisters experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
Empathic and loyal, Derek was committed to making his new family happy.
Derek worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Derek felt privileged to be the father of his daughter Amanda and his son Marcus. He loved being a grandpa to his three grandsons, Noah, Jacob, and Caleb.
Fortunately, Derek enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Derek worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. He was employed for over 50 years in the field of flight simulation. Derek always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Derek enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. He loved traveling, trains, history, and painting. He also loved beer and wine tasting. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Derek passed away on February 23, 2016 at At his residence in Bedford, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Carole Pearse; children, Amanda Hardin, and Marcus Pearse; grandsons, Noah, Jacob and Caleb Hardin; close friends, Stan and Sean Seibert, and Kelly Hintmeyer. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Derek was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Derek leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Derek James Pearse.

Derek Pearse, age 73 of Bedford, Tex. Died on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Pearse; sisters, Dawn and Daphne Pearse; and dear friend Brigitte Seibert.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Pearse; children, Amanda Hardin, and Marcus Pearse; grandsons, Noah, Jacob and Caleb Hardin; close friends, Stan and Sean Seibert, and Kelly Hintmeyer.
Derek worked in flight simulation for over 50 years. He loved traveling, trains, history, painting, and beer and wine tasting. He was loved and will be missed by his family and close friends.
