Dolores Rachel Ferrell

Born in Bandera, TX in 1933, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was always full of love and kindness.

She loved to cook and volunteer to help others. A lifelong member of the Church of Christ, she cooked meals at her Midtown Church for years. She loved to plant and tend to her garden, for years she would help others as well in a shared garden close to her residence. She taught special education students as a para professional.

Her playful spirit, her famous one liners and kind heart will be forever remembered and will live on in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Robert Royce Ferrell & Deborah Ferrell, her grandchildren, Hunter Royce Ferrell, Dylan Self & Ryan Self, and her great grandchildren Audrey Ferrell, Brooklyn Ferrell, Jonah Self, Grady Self, Riley Self, Gianna Self & Lizzie Self.

Her family would sincerely like to thank the staff at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Grapevine, TX for their dedication and care for Dolores during her final days.

A visitation for Dolores will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034. A funeral will occur Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034. A burial will occur Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034.
