Donice H. Copeland aged 92, resident of Hurst Tx., died peacefully in his sleep May 26, 2018 with his family by his side. Don was born in Arkadelphia, Ark on December 6, 1925 to Lawrence E. Copeland and Minnie Daniel. He joined the Navy at the age of 17. Don proudly served in the Navy in WWII on the USS Killen DD-593. He was a radarman RDM3. Don was married August 24, 1950 to Juanita Gogle (Skeeter) at First Baptist Church in Longview, TX, enjoying 68 wonderful years of marriage.
He was a driver for Merchants Fast Motor Lines until he retired in 1992 with 35 years of service. Don was a charter and active member of the Tin Can Sailors. He also was a member of Roll Call, an organization for Veterans. He remained an active member of the Merchants Retirees Club.
He is survived by his wife Skeeter, three daughters and two sons-in-law: Jeri Copeland; Jeanne and Ted Barnhart; Debbie and Marty Davis. He was blessed with seven grand-children, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
He loved traveling in his motor home and riding his 4- wheeler. His passion was racing and even got the thrill of driving in the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Texas Motor Speedway at age 81. Don took great pride in keeping his yard beautiful and loved spending time with his family and creating countless memories together. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Tx. 76034
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the above location.
