

Beloved Wife, Mother, and dearest of friends to many, Doreen Neece Dallas, passed away peacefully at her home in Fort Worth, TX on September 3, 2023. Doreen was born in Haskell, TX, and was raised in Peaster, TX, residing in Parker and Tarrant County surrounding areas for the majority of her 94 years. Having grown up in the depression era as the daughter of a sharecropper, Doreen sought to better herself through education and strong work ethics to improve life for her family.
She started that journey by graduating in 1946 at Peaster High School, in Peaster, TX where she played on the girls basketball team. She was also a student at North Texas State College, Denton, TX, Poly Technical High School, Fort Worth, TX, and TCJC, Hurst, TX. She worked at odd jobs in her early life then Montgomery Wards, Convair and General Dynamics before moving on to her final work family. Doreen was a proud Bell Helicopter Textron employee where she worked her way up through various jobs starting in the Mailroom then qualifying to become a Card Punch Operator, Time Keeper and eventual Accountant in Accounts Receivable. She had many beloved friends and family at Bell. Mom worked at nearly all the Bell Texas locations during her 42 year tenure. She was assigned to Globe, Hurst and Arlington Plants. She was a member of the local UAW 317. She played softball and bowled on the Bell teams. Mom loved flowers, birds, music, singing and gardening. She studied piano and loved to sing in the church choir. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Fort Worth, TX for a majority of her life. She was also a member of the Lake Worth Garden Club.
After 52 years as a loyal widow she has rejoined her husband, William James Dallas, Jr. She has also missed her sisters Velda and Billie Jean very much this past year. Doreen was the last of her seven siblings to be reunited with the Lord. She is survived by her three children, Michael Dallas, Mark Dallas and Mary Dallas Everitt and husband David who were blessed to have her as their mother.
"Doreen was “MeMaw” to her grandchildren Jill Pentico and husband David, Amy Dallas and husband James, Derek James Dallas and wife Amanda, Ashton, Megan Carter and husband Jason, Brandon Dallas, Casey Neidholt, Zachary Mcdonald and Cody Scott. MeMaw also has sixteen great grandchildren Isabelle, Ireland, Sarah, Rachel, Bailey, Liz, Armand, Haliegh, Emily, Derek James, Willow, Reeve, Wells, Haven, Kalynn and Ivy. She was also Memaw to seven great, great grandchildren Landon, Alivia, Emory, Taylor, Koan, Kolton and Waverly. She was also Aunt Doreen to surviving nephews and niece Tim, Gary, Doug and Alvina. Doreen left a legacy of strong Christian values and work ethics which she has instilled in her many offspring. Doreen, Mother, Mom, Momma, Ma, MeMaw, Aunt Doreen, leaves behind a family who loved her more than she will ever have known. Additionally, the Dallas family would like to send a sincere note of gratitude to the Concho Hearts Hospice who attended our Mother during her transition to glory.
A visitation for Doreen will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 9:30 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 10:30 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034.
