

She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, friend, sister, and colleague to all that knew and loved her. She was born on June 13, 1948 in Sanborn, New York to Orvis and Rose Obelich Curry.
Dorothy, or Dotty as she liked to be called, loved her grandchildren, children, sisters, friends, and co-workers with all her heart. She also loved all of the children and their families at Preston Hollow United Methodist Church where she was a preschool teacher. Her entire house is full of art projects and cards from them.
Dorothy is survived by daughter, Anne Mitchell, and husband Cameron Mitchell, of Colleyville, Texas; son, Greg Lovria, and his wife, Courtney Lovria, of Tonawanda, New York; grandchildren Camryn and Troy; sister, Anne Nicoletti, and husband Dennis Nicoletti, of Phoenix, Arizona; Mary Jane Rial, of Niagara Falls, New York; sister Barbara Curry, of Niagara Falls, New York; nieces, Kristen and Jennifer; and nephews, William and Paul. Dotty was preceded in death by her long-time companion Joseph Sykes of Lockport, NY.
Dotty was a very social person – she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shopping with her daughter, granddaughter and sisters, and reading.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for the near future for all friends and family.
