Mrs. Dortha Fae (Massey) DeManche

Dortha DeManche went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, Wednesday December 16, 2020, she was 95 years old. Dortha was born May 19, 1925 to Lenis and Iva Massey in Clay County, Texas, she was the second of seven children. Dortha moved to Fort Worth in the early 1940’s. She married Jean R. DeManche in February 1960. Shortly afterward they became members of Meadowbrook Methodist Church. Where she remained a member even after Jean’s death in 1984.

She love spending time with her sisters and family. Dortha was a lifelong homemaker and dedicated to raising her daughter and enjoyed being involved in her garden and book club. One of her great’s joys was spending time with her one and only grandson. Other hobbies included sewing, reading, and working in her own flower garden.

Dortha was preceded in death by her parents Lenis and Iva Massey; husband Jean R. DeManche; brother, Pete Massey; sisters Miriam (Babe) Massey, Donna Hughes, and Pat Burns; niece Debra Stokely

Dortha is survived by daughter Lisa Goss, her husband Alan Goss, and grandson Clayton Goss; sisters Len Hundle and Shirley Sloan; nieces Theresa Hartman (Jeff), Stacy Reynolds (Leslie), Renee Boydstun (Jerry), Juliana Reichenstein, Theresa Gilmore (Bill); nephews Chad Sloan, Carl, Kurt, and Kevin (Jim Forrester) Reichenstein; great nieces Karly Bobo (David), Katy Winter (James); great nephews Derek Stokely (Michele) and Brett Stokely; and great grand niece Charlee Rose Stokely, Lucy Winter; great grand nephews Ford, Brody and Knox Bobo, Beckham and Worth Winter.
