It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas "Mickey" Mac Curb, Sr. of Grapevine, Texas announces that he passed away on April 19th, 2019, in Grapevine, Texas at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife, Sandie Goodier Curb, of Grapevine, Texas. He was lovingly surrounded by his children, son Douglas Curb II and daughter-in-law Paula of Bedford, Texas, daughter Melody McCallum and son-in-law Mike of Irving, Texas, daughter Theresa Kilgore and son-in-law Matt, Sr., of Krum, Texas, daughter, Elizabeth McElhaney of Irving, Texas, and son Jon Curb and daughter-in-law Jessica of Lake Worth, Texas. He is also survived by his first wife, Diane Curb, of Irving, Texas. Step-children include Rhonda Smith of Grapevine, Texas, Christopher Goodier and daughter-in-law Leslie of Denton, Texas. Doug will also be fondly remembered by his fifteen grandchildren, Trey, Trevor, Michael, Andrew, Christopher, Spencer, Matthew, Jacob, Nathan, Jayden, Jillian, and Jennabelle. Step-grandchildren Amber, Christopher, and Autumn. Loving great-grandchildren are Marie Rose, Tegan, and Aurora. Sister Anna Holaway and brother Thomas Curb. He was preceded in death by his eldest brother Billy Curb, and step-sons Brian Smith and Tommy Lambert.
Doug was born on July, 10, 1943, in Temple, Texas to William Thomas Curb and Lenore Annie Curb. After graduating from Mansfield High School, Doug became a successful cosmetologist including owning his own salon. Doug married Sandie Goodier, and together they shared a common interest in rescue dogs, and the many sandy beaches of Mexico. Doug had a passion for woodworking, darts, poker, and cooking.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 26th from 3-6 pm at the Knights of Colombus Hall located at 2906 Rock Island Road, Irving, Texas, 75060.
