Earnest "Ernie" Edgar Tolbert

HURST -- Earnest E. “Ernie” Tolbert, age 80, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016. Earnest was born in Oklahoma to James and Dovie Tolbert. He met his wife Deanna before moving to the Fort Worth area. Together they raised three children. Earnest served his country for 8 years in the U.S Army National Guard. He worked as a Machine Operator for Bell Helicopter for 25 years. Earnest loved golfing, fishing, camping and traveling. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed. Earnest is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Carrol Sutterfield. The family would like to thank Main Street Home Health and Hospice for their wonderful care and Dr. Ohman. Survivors: Earnest is survived by his wife of 60 years, Deanna Tolbert; children, Donny Tolbert and wife, Jody, Kenny Tolbert, and Kathey Poovey and husband Terry; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Owens and husband Jacob, Brad Tolbert and wife Naomi, Angela Tolbert and fiancé Luke, Mackenzie Tolbert, and Katey Poovey; 6 great grandchildren, Jaiden, Madden, Mason, Beckham, Levi and Locke; and five siblings, Jimmie Tolbert and wife Kay, Robbie Harris and husband David, Johnnie Aplin, Russell Tolbert and wife Freda and Sid Tolbert and wife Lynda.
