

Edwin was born March 28, 1936 in Fort Worth, Texas to Darwin and Hilda (Holton) Walters. Ed graduated from Carter Riverside High School and served his country in the Army National Guard as a Sergeant in the 49th Armored Division. After his service he went to technical school to become an electrician. While in technical school he became an apprentice and joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was highly recognized for his service in the IBEW and had just celebrated 60 years as a union member. Ed enjoyed golfing, and in his later years found joy in buying and selling antiques. Ed also enjoyed meeting with his friends at the local Waffle House.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Fisher and friend Mark Griffin of Haltom City, TX; his son Scott Walters and wife Mary of McKinney, TX; six grandchildren, Chas Walters, Mark Walters, Lacy Horton, Philip Fisher, Nicholas Walters, and Gwendolyn Walters; and six great grandchildren, Grayson Horton, Grace Horton, Graham Horton, Bryce Walters, Donovan Walters, and Landyn Walters; and numerous nephews, nieces and loving friends.
Ed was preceded in death by parents Darwin and Hilda Walters, brothers Edward (A.B.) Walters, Bennie Walters, and grandson Christopher Fisher.
The grave side funeral service will be held at Bluebonnet Hill Memorial Park on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10:00 am. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.bluebonnethills.com.
