She will always be remembered as a loving and universal mother to all that knew and loved her. She was born on April 18, 1921, in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico to Ramon Morales and Igenia Baergga.
Elena was a graduate of St. Joseph’s College in New York, New York, and was ultimately employed by International Bristol Myers Pharmaceuticals in their cancer division. She loved music, dancing, singing, and the arts. She was a great writer and artist. She doted on her Schnauzer puppy C.J., who could do no wrong. Elena was a self-made cosmopolitan, independent, well-traveled woman who was a United Nations member.
Elena is survived by her daughter, Myrna A. Torres of Grapevine, Texas; son, Carlos R. Torres (Susan) of Locust Hill, Virginia; son, Joseph Luccioni (Evelyn) of Grapevine, Texas; grandchildren, Charlie Torres (Morena), Timothy M. Torres, Myrnita Shocky (Derek), Millie Torres, and Christian Torres, 3 great-grandchildren, and her adopted daughters, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2020, from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas.
