Emily Louise Eades, 97, of Euless Texas, went to Glory to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 7, 2021. She was born on July 28, 1924, to John Burrell Johnson and Johnnie Lee Bynum in Kopperl, Texas.
She was known as Louise, Mother or Mamaw. She was a seamstress by trade. She was proud to have made dresses not only for Macy’s and other big-name stores but for the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders as well. She enjoyed making clothes for her children and always made special dresses for her granddaughters.
She had one major devotion in her life and that was to her Heavenly Father. She sat on the same pew every Sunday with her Bible open and she lived by the Word. Her example of Christ was seen by all who knew her. Her family was her love, and she made each one feel extra special. Every gathering took place at her home and there was always plenty of food that she had prepared. It seemed she was always at the stove cooking something. She was always freezing pies so she could pull one out any time she had company.
She had a deep passion for gardening, planting, and caring for her flowers. She even enjoyed pulling weeds. She prided herself in keeping an immaculate yard. It was something that gave her joy even though it was hard work. You could always see a puzzle on a card table in her sewing room that she was working on, and she had put together hundreds in her later years. Another one of her pastimes was to crochet, making bedspreads, tablecloths, doilies, and numerous other things. Everyone she knew has something she had made from her loving hands and she was proud to give it away. That is the way she was. She loved to give. What she wanted to give away the most was her love.
Louise is proceeded in death by the love of her life Melburne (Mike) James Eades with whom she was married for 67 years, her father, mother, and sister Willie Katherine Maden, She is survived by her sister Nanny Jo Rowe, daughter Brenda Hodges and husband Eddie, son Johnny Eades and wife Susan, and son Michael Eades and wife Becky, six grandchildren, Thomas, Dawn, Tonia, Michael, Johnny and Elysia, 13 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, August 13th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel and a funeral service will be held Saturday, August 14th at 12:30 pm at the same location. A graveside service will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kopperl Cemetery, Box 1 Kopperl, TX 76652
