Mr. Emlyn Thomas Pugh

Emlyn (Em) Thomas Pugh of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away on September 13, 2020. He will always be remembered as a man of faith in God and one who had compassion to share the love of Christ with others. He was a loving husband, father and friend) Emlyn T Pugh was born August 6, 1937 son of Thomas John and Irene Loretta (High) Pugh of Mankato, MN. They resided on a dairy farm in Lake Crystal, MN. He graduated from DeVry University in Chicago, IL as an electrical engineer in 1957. He then worked at the local radio station KWWL in Waterloo, IA as a Transmitter Engineer. He met the love of his life, Pauline Beasley on an arranged blind date at their pastor’s house. Emlyn and Pauline married February 22, 1963. He moved his family to Fort Worth, Texas in 1974 to prepare for ministry by attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Among the various ministries he served in were children’s, bus, ministry, Guatemala and teaching bible, and mentoring in two prisons. He retired from Tarrant County College NW Campus in in 2006 as Media and Information technology Manager for 35 years or more. Emlyn is survived by wife, Pauline E. Pugh; one son, Wayne A. Pugh of Fort Worth Texas, one daughter, Rebekah E. Russell and husband, Michael E. Russell of Fort Worth, Texas; his sister, Barbara Miller of Saint Peter, MN and many nephews, nieces and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers- John Pugh of Mankato, MN; Harold Pugh of MN; Howard Pugh of Lake Crystal, MN and Emrys Pugh of La Port City, IA. There will be a brief family visitation the day of the funeral from 9:15 AM to 10 00 a.m. on September 17, 2020. The funeral service will be held graveside at 10 o’clock am at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas. If you wish to send flowers in honor of Mr. Pugh. Wonderful memories of my brother-in-law Emlyn . My condolences to my niece Rebekah, nephew, Wayne and my sister Pauline Emlyn’s wife. He will be missed. I have to many memories growing up of Emlyn. But I know he is in heaven and I will see him again.
