

Eric Thomas Weeks was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Eric will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
He was the son of Sandra Mcdonald Virella.
Eric had two sisters Meghan and Haley.
Eric enjoyed his college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Eric was able to manage the balancing act. He graduated from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, majoring in Political Science. Later in his life, Eric found renewed interest in his education and returned to school to pursue his passion in Computer Science.
Fortunately, Eric enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Eric worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. He worked at Office Depot for three years and was always causing shenanigans. A fan favorite is when he taped a picture of his head to the back of his manager's monitor so that it was peeking over the top. Eric always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Eric enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Heated games of Dungeons and Dragons were lead by Eric, who assumed the esteemed position of Dungeon Master. As Dungeon Master, he loved telling stories and creating worlds. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Eric was a man who took pride in upholding his beliefs. Eric was a passionate advocate of equality, saying,"I look forward to the day where all of us, white and black, can stop the cycle of hatred and violence and join together to hate the real enemy: the crab people.".
Though he never set out to gain individual recognition, Eric was given accolades for his many and varied accomplishments throughout his life. Eric was always proud of his achievements, from being Bronze in the game League of Legends to programming.
Eric passed away on September 8, 2016 at his residence in Keller, Texas. He was preceded in death by his sister Meghan Diane Weeks, his Mimi and Papa Janice and Gene McDonald. Survivors are his mother Sandra Virella, step father Cesar, his sister Haley Virella; aunt, Kathy McDonald; and best friend Matt Owens, along with several other close friends. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Eric was an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Eric leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Eric Thomas Weeks.
