

Born in Havana, Cuba, Fabi moved to the United States in 1958, carrying with her a spirit of resilience, strength, and determination that would define her life. She built a life centered on family, love, and hard work, creating a legacy that will live on through the many lives she touched.
To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “Lala” a nickname derived from Abuela. She cherished her family above all else and found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion made everyone feel welcomed and cared for.
Fabi enjoyed volunteering and spending time at the North Richland Hills Senior Center where she taught Spanish classes. She will also be remembered for her amazing sewing skills and artistic abilities. Her family will rejoice and celebrate her love, wisdom, and laughter that she brought to everyone.
She is survived by her loving family, including her son Mario Cordoves Jr. and his wife Stacey; grandchildren, Cassandra Covey and husband Nicholas, and Mario C. Cordoves and wife Bailey; Desiree’ Rodrigue, Todd Portner, Melissa Vargas, and numerous great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Mario Cordoves Sr.
While her family mourns her passing, they also celebrate a life well lived—a life marked by courage, love, and dedication to those she held dear. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
