Francis "Leon" Clark, age 93, peacefully passed away on August 2, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by loved ones.
A native Texan, Leon was born March 15, 1933 to Francis and Cora (Foster) Clark in Tioga, Texas.
In 1955 he married the love of his life, Iva Delores (Casey) Clark and together relocated to North Richland Hills, Texas. They celebrated 63 years of marriage and were blessed with two children, David and Sheleen.
Listening to the call of his country, Leon joined the Army in 1953 where he proudly served during the Korean War and furthered his education. Shortly after, he started his lifelong career with Lockheed Martin, dedicating his time from 1951-2000. He was very proud and often talked about his important role on the F-16 project. He stayed a member of the Army Reserves until 1961.
Leon's love for baseball spread to his family. He loved watching and cheering on the Texas Rangers. He was also a huge fan of country music, and often traveled to see his favorite artists play.
Leon will be remembered as a loving, compassionate, caring, and proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Iva Delores Clark, his parents Francis and Cora Clark, and his brothers Donald Jack Clark and James Lawrence Clark.
He is lovingly remembered and survived by his son David Clark and his wife Pam Clark; his daughter Sheleen Johnson and her husband Jim Johnson; his granddaughter Amelia Clark-Cox and husband Benjamin Cox; his grandson Sean Clark and wife Mary Grace Clark; and three great-grandchildren who loved him dearly, Olivia Clark, Ella Clark and Nolan Cox.
Our hearts are heavy, but we find comfort in the love and memories he shared with us. His legacy will live on through those who cherish him. A dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will always be loved and deeply missed.
Services are at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, August 6, 2026, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm, with the Celebration of Life at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
