Fred (Lanny) Lanier Partin Jr.

October 13, 1935 – March 1, 2025, age 89

Lanny was born at home to Fred L Sr and Ruby Partin on October 13, 1935. He passed away in memory care on March 1, 2025 to be with his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife June and youngest son, Kevin.

Lanny received his teaching degree from TCU but went to work for the Treasury Department and retired early at age 55. He then worked as a substitute teacher for HEB ISD. He was a teller of jokes and anecdotes to everyone around him. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his Lord and his family. He will be sorely missed but we know he is with Jesus now.

He is survived by daughter Becky and husband Gene, son Tim, daughter Lanna and husband Steve, and daughter-in-law Karissa.

Grandchildren John and wife Samantha, Grant and wife Lindsey, Jennifer and husband Kyle, Cooper and wife Ashley, CJ, Madison and Jordan.

Great grandchildren Ryan, Abriela, Elia, Hannah, Abigail, Brayden, Levi and Rhett.

Sister Gerry , brother Walt and wife Brenda, brother John and wife Nelda. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at Cross City Church, Euless, Texas on Saturday, March 8 at 10:00am, visitation to follow at the church. Graveside service will commence at 2:00pm at Laurel Land, Fort Worth, Texas.
