Fred Efflandt was born in Dallas on October 28, 1928 he passed away from this earth to eternity on September 3, 2021. His Soul is now in the arms of Jesus. He loved Jesus, his beautiful wife Betty, and his family. He had a big heart and was truly a gentleman. Fred grew up in Dallas and graduated 1947 from Crozier Tech High School in downtown Dallas
Fred married the love of his life Betty Jo Ray in February 3, 1950 and loved her until his passing. Betty passed away in 2012. Fred and Betty had three children which they loved eldest son Randle Efflandt and wife Kathi, daughter Lee Ann and husband Mark Schafer, and son Rick Efflandt.
He loved his Dad Herbert Efflandt and Mom Marie Higgins Efflandt. He had one brother and two older sisters. Herbert Efflandt and wife Virginia, Marien and husband Robert (Bob) Sanford, Anita and husband George DeShazo . He was also blessed with many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He always looked forward to family gathering and just being together with his loved ones.
He served in the Army during the Korean War and was Honorably Discharged in 1954. He worked for Dallas Power and Light Co. (now Oncor Electric Delivery) beginning in 1950 and worked there for 37 years. After his retirement from Dallas Power and Light he did special projects at his church Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville where Fred and Betty were faithful members. Brother Ben Smith our pastor and his family has been a part of the Efflandt family for many years.
