Gary Wayne Farmer of Trophy Club, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on June 29, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on April 25, 1950, Gary was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was marked by quiet strength, deep integrity, and unwavering love for his family.
On November 20, 1985, Gary married the love of his life, Deana Farmer, after exactly four years of dating. Their nearly 40 years of marriage were filled with love, laughter, and deep companionship—a bond that served as an enduring example of loyalty and devotion.
Gary spent much of his life in Fort Worth, where he built strong roots and lasting friendships. He began his career with Dr Pepper in 1979 as a route driver, personally delivering and unloading cases. His work ethic and dedication quickly stood out, and just a year later, he was named Salesman of the Year in 1980. Gary went on to dedicate 35 years to the company, building a reputation for professionalism, consistency, and pride in a job well done.
Outside of work, Gary lived life fully and passionately. He loved attending car shows, riding his Harley, and taking spontaneous trips to Winstar Casino and Las Vegas, where he enjoyed playing slot machines. He was an avid collector of antiquities, especially watches, pinball machines, Dr Pepper memorabilia, sports collectibles, and anything that caught his eye. A die-hard fan of all things Dallas Cowboys. But more than anything, Gary cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, stories, and love.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Deana Farmer; and his children: Melissa Marioni and her husband Alberto Marioni, Steven Farmer, Stacy Grubbs, Brent Farmer, and Chad Farmer and his wife Jo'Nia Farmer. He was a proud grandfather to Christopher Marioni, Matthew Marioni, Kaley Marioni, Jared Grubbs, Cheyenne Farmer and Jaxon Farmer; and a loving great-grandfather to Braunwyn Marioni, Lewis Whittemore, and Bowen Marioni. He is also survived by his sister, Candy Arrington; brother, James Farmer; and Mike Smith, who was like a brother to him in every way that mattered.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Stevens; his father, James Farmer; and his brother, Joe Edward Farmer, affectionately known as “Little Bud.”
A service to honor Gary’s life will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.

John 14:1–3 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
