Geoffrey Robert Gosdin was born on June 18, 1974 in Dallas, Texas to D’Awn and Gary Gosdin, M.D. Following a brief period living in Germany in his early years, Geoffrey moved to Irving, Texas where he lived the remainder of his life.

While growing up, Geoffrey developed a love for all things Disney, which he retained throughout his life. Geoffrey was active in his church’s youth group and spent his summers attending Camp Goddard, which he spoke of often. He graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving in 1993 and attended Abilene Christian University. Geoffrey loved going to sporting events with friends. He spent many Saturday and Sunday afternoons watching sports or the latest movie at the theater, and loved music, especially the Eagles. In recent years, he enjoyed his work at Christ Church Irving.

As he grew older, more than anything, Geoffrey loved spending time with his family and being an uncle to his six nieces and one nephew. They would always bring a big smile to his face and lots of laughter. Family was very important to Geoffrey. He continually looked forward to the next event where family would gather and loved family reunions. Geoffrey always made sure to give you a hug and say I love you. Geoffrey was the most honest and genuine person you would ever meet. He was loyal, loving, thoughtful, considerate, funny, and a child at heart. Geoffrey went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2021. He will be missed deeply. Geoffrey, we love you.

Geoffrey is survived by his parents, D’Awn and Gary Gosdin, his siblings, Lyndsay Wells and husband Jeff, Mark Gosdin and wife Brandi, Hayley Fuller and husband Josh, his nieces and nephew, Hannah and Sarah Wells, Emily and Avery Gosdin, Katelyn, Lacey, and Luke Fuller, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and very good friends.

The memorial service will be held at Christ Church Irving on Saturday, May 1st, 2021 and a private graveside service will be held for family at a later date at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Colleyville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Christ Church Irving Children’s Scholarship Fund.
