

George was born on April 17, 1954 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He was the son of William "Frank" and Ruby "Lucille" Moore. He grew up in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
George was raised with one sister, Fannie and two brothers, Robert and William. George was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings shared many life experiences over the years.
George graduated from Pawhuska High School in 1972.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University in 1976.
On January 3, 1981 George exchanged wedding vows with his wife the former Glenda Lou Crouch in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were married for 35 years.
George worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. George was blessed with two daughters, Jessi and Sara. Another blessing for George was the gift of one grandson, Wesley and one granddaughter, Jordan.
George started his work career as an accountant in oil and gas companies, but found his true calling as an entrepreneur. He opened Tulsa’s Baseball Card Store in 1981 and became a leading expert in sports memorabilia.
George’s main passion was coaching his daughters’ youth sports teams. Many nights were spent at baseball diamonds and basketball courts. He chauffeured to soccer fields, leaving the coaching to others, but the encouragement was the same. In 1995, the family moved to Grapevine, Texas, and many more young athletes benefitted from his knowledge and enthusiasm. In his later years, you could find him at the poker table, testing his brilliant mind and enjoying the camaraderie. He loved telling stories, especially about his family.
George passed away on November 10, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. He is survived by his brother, William Moore of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, his wife, Glenda Moore of Fort Worth, Texas, daughter Jessi Moore and future son-in-law, Mike Sheldon, of Atlanta, Georgia, daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Wesley Burris, of Austin, Texas, and grandchildren Wesley “Scott” Burris, Jr. and Jordan Paige Burris. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. George was laid to rest in the Garden of Legacy in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
George was an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. George leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember George Edward Moore.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:30pm, Saturday, November 19 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034. Pastor Owen Goff, of Fellowship Church, will be officiating. There will be a visitation on Friday, November 18, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Bluebonnet.
