Gladys Mae Frey, age 92, passed away on July 3rd, 2026. Gladys was born on June 19th, 1934, in Iowa to George and Emma Ovel, she was one of 8 children. She married her husband of 50 years, Albert Frey Sr. on October 8th, 1955. Gladys was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother - she loved her family unconditionally.
She was very active at St. Francis Church in Grapevine, Texas, and over the years had volunteered in many different capacities. Her faith was unwavering and her relationship with Jesus our Savior brought her much joy, comfort, and strength.
Gladys is survived by two sons and their spouses: Albert E. Frey Jr. (Brenda) of Irving, Texas and Michael Frey (Donna) of Roanoke, Texas. 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandsons. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Frey Sr., her daughter, Shirley Frey, her parents, her 3 brothers, and her 4 sisters.
Our mother, Gladys Mae Frey, was a wonderful person and her family has many wonderful memories with her. We take comfort in knowing she is in God's hands and is reunited with her family.
