She graduated from Wilmington High School, Wilmington, Massachusetts and continued her education at Charles Choate Memorial Hospital, Woburn, Massachusetts earning a Registered Nurse degree.
Gloria worked as a private duty nurse in the Boston area where she met her husband. They were married in 1944 in Boston, Massachusetts. After the war was over, they relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana. Gloria then bore three children, Frank Peter Ganucheau III, Valcour Aime Ganucheau and Edmond Fortier Ganucheau.
Gloria was a stay at home mother enjoying every minute of it. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and playing cards with her friends. Gloria enjoyed traveling with her husband for the entire fifty-two years of their marriage.
Gloria was a member of the Catholic Church and she and her husband raised her three boys in that faith.
Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Peter Ganucheau and her oldest son Frank Peter Ganucheau III.
Gloria is survived by her two sons Valcour and Edmond. Gloria had a loving relationship with her three daughters in law Elizabeth, Charmion and Mary Beth Ganucheau. Gloria had seven grandchildren Peter, Susan Wells, David, Matthew, Monique, Edmond, and Kristin. Great grandchildren Luke, Benjamin, Grace, Mark, John, Nathan, Zachary, Natalie, Jon, Megan, Barrett and Clyde Gay.
