Harold Dean Byrd, 59, departed this life on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Memorial service: 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children. Dean was born Oct. 23, 1954, in Jacinto City, the son of Monty and Shirley Weaver Byrd. He graduated from Haltom High School in 1974 and was a master electrician. Survivors: Mother and father, Shirley and Monty Byrd; daughters, Tracey Marsalek and Erin Byrd; son, Michael Byrd; former wife, Kathy Byrd; fiancee, Tina Van Arsdel; sisters, Cheryl Smitherman and husband, Danny, Roseanne Laws and husband, Eddie; grandchildren, Nathaniel Carson and Kinley Siders; nieces and nephews, Bailey Laws, Cameron Smitherman, Briley Smitherman and Hunter Smitherman; and many, many friends.
