Henry was born in Burkburnett Texas on January 9th,1937.
Henry graduated from will Roger High School in Tulsa Oklahoma and received his Diploma.
He was married to his neighborhood sweetheart whom he met by throwing rocks at her getting her attention. They were married on January 1st, 1957, in the preachers’ home.
Henry spent 28 years in the United States Air Force as an aircraft crew chief and aircraft maintenance. He was also a Vietnam Veteran doing two tours there. After retiring from the Air Force Henry then spent 20 more years at Lockheed helping to build some of this world’s best fighter aircraft before finally retiring, but yet Henry continued to help. He volunteered many hours at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum helping to rebuild and restore military aircraft for display, which he enjoyed very much.
Henry and his wife Claudia together loved NASCAR, they were season ticket holders, and would go to other tracks around the U.S. to visit and watch races. This was something they really enjoyed doing together.
Henry was preceded in death by his 1st daughter Cheryl Lynn Wright, his wife of 55 years Claudia Ann Wright and by both his parents Tommie Clayton and Maggie Cordia Wright, two sisters Ida May Todd and Betty Jean Mosher.
Henry is survived by sons Tommie Wright, Richard Wright, Henry Jr. (Joe), and daughter Cathy Wright, sister, Linda Hall, three Grandchildren Christopher Wright, Kelly Neufeld, and Jenna Gatanis, and three great-grandchildren Jadeyn May Leyva 14, Jerica Ruthann Wright 9, and Logan Neufeld 9, with another girl on the way by the name Landrie Goodwin.
A visitation for Henry will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034.
Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034.
