He was born in Mattoon, IL on August, 5 1929. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1947 to 1949. He was married to Ruth White from November 10, 1950 until her death on June 2, 2010.
Jack worked as a Petroleum Landman for Bass Enterprises from 1979 until 1995. He was also a member of the Petroleum Landman Association and an Endowment Member of the Texas State Rifle Association. He had a passion for all shooting sports and big band music.
He was survived by his daughters, Lisa White and Susan White Fife, son-in-law Darrell Fife, grandchildren Jessica Fife Atkins, Jennifer Fife, and Evan Bond and their spouses.
Jack was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
