Jacki was born in Alton, Illinois, on May 2, 1949, and went to meet her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2026, after a long battle with dementia. She passed away peacefully with family by her side.
Jacki was the devoted wife of Michael Overton.
Jacki’s journey through life was one of love towards others and faith in God. Her passing left a void in the heart of her family and friends who experienced the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for the life she lived loving others, her kindness, and her heart of service.
Jacki is survived by her husband, Mike; her son, Shaun, and his wife, Neidy; her daughter, Erinn, and her husband, Shirwen; and her seven grandchildren: Samuel, Ian, Olivia, Alyssandra, Micah, Nolan, and Kaden. She also leaves behind an extended family who loved her dearly. Among these are her stepbrother, Scott Lowery, and his wife Jean; her sister-in-law, Patti Graf, and her husband, Neil; her nephew, Kile Graf; and niece, Stacey Walters, and their families.
At a young age, Jacki’s family moved to Mesa, AZ. She graduated from Northern Arizona University and then worked at Transamerica, which placed her in California. There she met Mike, and they were later married in Lake Tahoe. Transamerica transferred Jacki and the family to Texas in 1994. She worked at Humana before finally retiring.
Although Jacki’s physical presence is no longer with us, she will be remembered as a woman of faith, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Jacki was known by all as a caring, generous, and joyful person. She was a hard worker and loved sharing the benefits of her labor—giving to those in need and sharing generously of her time and efforts with family, friends, and her church community.
A heartfelt thanks to her caretaking team at Brookdale, who showed genuine loving care to Jacki during her final years.
The Memorial Service to honor the life of Jacki Overton will be held on April 11, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76054.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to World Vision, an organization that Jacki supported from 1998 until her death.
