

James Glen Carlen, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on November 8, 2020. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him.
He was born on October 8, 1927 in Bonham, Texas to Jim Carlen and Irene Tollison. Glen loved his family and every accomplishment in his life was shared with them. He spent his free time golfing with his friends and on the lake with his family. Glen was a successful businessman and loved to share his stories of his early days in the autobody business. You could always hear Glen telling a joke to his buddies or a story about his family. In his retirement years, Glen traveled world-wide with the love of his life, Billie Carlen. Glen bravely served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
Glen is survived by his daughter, Glenna Carlen of Burleson; son, Don Carlen and wife, Sharon of North Richland Hills; Grandchildren, Jennifer Carter and husband, Robert of Granbury, Julie May and husband Matthew of Joshua, Lorin Jorgensen and husband Matt of North Richland Hills, and Great grandchildren, Bo, Brody, Zoe, McKinley, Kingsley, Landry and Cayden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Carlen.
