

James was born in Chicago, Illinois April 18, 1943 to Ed and Estelle Jackowski and attended Holy Trinity High School also in Chicago, Illinois. He was a graduate of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Engineering and received his MBA from College of Lake Forest.
James had an amazing career in manufacturing for over 30 years, which spanned multiple states. He ended his career retiring from Tucker Housewares in Arlington Texas. But James was also an accomplished businessman serving on the board for the Harvard Credit Union in Harvard, Illinois, and running many other business ventures most recently running his own real estate business in Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edmund Jackowski; mother, Estelle Jackowski; and brother, Jerry Jackowski, who he now has gone to join.
He leaves behind his loving wife, of 21 years, Jaclyn A Miller; daughter, Robin Kinkelaar and husband Jim and grandson, Jack Nicklaus; son, Matthew Jackowski and wife, Julie, and grandsons, Ryan Matthew and Collin James. His brother, Ron Jackowski and wife Mary; his sister, Marilyn Sallee and husband Larry; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces in Chicago and extended family in Springfield Ohio.
James always enjoyed his time with his family and vacations traveling. Especially the time he had with his grandchildren and “Friday night dates” with his wife. He will be dearly missed.
A visitation service will be held Wednesday, July 16 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, TX from 4-7pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th at Richards, Raff, and Dunbar Memorial Home, 838 East High Street, Springfield, OH at 12:00, noon. There will also be visiting hours from 10:00am-12:00pm Saturday, July 19th prior to the service at Richards, Raff, and Dunbar Memorial Home. James will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in New Carlisle, OH directly following the service. A luncheon will take place after the graveside service at O’Connors Irish Pub located at 2336 Northmoor Dr, Springfield, OH.
