James Edward Matthews passed peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2014. He was 82. James was born in Texarkana, Arkansas. He worked as a Switchman for the Cotton Belt Southern Pacific Railroad for 30 years. James is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Elizabeth Ann; daughters, Cynthia and Kelly; Sons, Marc and Eric; and grandchildren, Andre, Alexandria and Matthew. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
