

Jim Robinson was born in Weatherford, Texas June 1, 1919. He spent his working years as a general contractor, building everything from all three of his daughters' homes to Northeast Mall. He was a Veteran who served in the Navy in WWII. He loved his family and his church, North Richland Hills Baptist, where he was a deacon for many years. He was a 50 year member of the Richland Hills Masonic Lodge. He was a founding builder of the City of North Richland HIlls, and the Mayor of NRH pronounced James Robinson day on his 90th birthday. Known as PAPA to his family and friends, he will forever live in our hearts. He leaves memories as a man with a loving smile and giving heart.
Jim was preceeded in death by his wife, Jean Robinson, daughter, Judy Bowers, his parents, two brothers and seven sisters.
Mr. Robinson leaves behind his daughters Janice Owens and husband Roger, and Brenda Laurence and husband Rick and son-in-law Bobby Bowers; grandsons Jay Bowers and wife Trish, John Laurence, Jeffrey Owens and wife Mary; granddaughters Shelley Carter and husband Don, Elizabeth Tooley and husband Rich, Allison Kallenberg and husband Ryan. Great-grandchildren Lauren and Nick Bowers, Donny, Chelsey, Katelyn, Justine and Kristen Carter, Jake Tooley, Abigail Maynard and Jordan Kallenberg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will commence Monday, October 20, 2014 at 1:30 at North Richland Hills Baptist Church, 6955 Boulevard 26, North Richland Hills, Texas 76180 with Dr. Scott Maze officiating. Friends are invited for a time of visitation with the family Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 3-5 p.m. in the Chapel of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Mr. Robinson will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Garden of Rest at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park following services Monday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Jim's honor to Kingdom Lifestyle Ministries (Encounter Marriage) or Better Together through NRHBC.
