Jay was a loving husband, outstanding father, and a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend. Jay loved his Lord and he was passionate about life. Jay was an exceptional high school athlete at DeSoto High School and college athlete at Stephen F. Austin University. After his competitive playing days were over, Jay continued sharing his passion for life and sports by coaching youth baseball and his daughters’ soccer teams where he was not only a coach, but a true role model.
Jay is survived by his wife Alicia; daughters Mariah, Madison, and Josie; parents Billy and Peggy Hunsucker; sister Holli Mullin and husband Mark; brother Mikel Hunsucker; nephews and nieces Ryan Mullin and wife Courtney, Lacie Arthur and husband Chase, Kimber Gibb, Cheyenne Hunsucker, Isaiah Vargas, and Estevan Vargas; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Jay will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
