We first met Jeanette in 1972.  Ellen  Dibler called on American Airlines, where Jeanette was the "Ad Man" for Dr. Pratho, Medical Director.  Jeanette helped Ellen get the contract for lab work to be sent out. An AWESOME friendship began.  Dave and Jeanette also attended Mid- Cities Bible Church  where Larry & Ellen attended.  
Dave and Jeanette enjoyed going to plays with the Diblers.  They always wanted to go to Braums for ice cream afterward.  Dave and Jeanette  helped the Dibler's celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary .  The 4 went on a cruise together through the Panamal Canal.  Ellen learned much about sewing and guarding from Jeanette.  Jeanette helped Larry plan and "pull off" a surprise 50th Birthday for Ellen.  They had the first 50 attendees give Ellen a long stem red rose. Dave Jr. also surprised Ellen by bringing Jeanette to Ellen's surprise "75th Birthday Party.  We will remember Dave & Jeanette as  "surgot parents" and friends until we meet again.  

Our most sincere condolences to the family . Jeanette was loved by many and we were glad to have had the chance to meet her and the chance to be able to talk to her . She had very interesting stories and always talked about her family and American Airlines . Our kids enjoyed going over to her house . Eveytime they seen her outside , they would run over . She will be missed but always remembered .

So many great memories... Always loved visiting with Jeanette and David. They were like family. I met them about 40 years ago. I remember the many times they would come down to visit me at my office downtown Ft. Worth especially the time after David had fallen off the roof and had injured both of his arms and as always, he was in great spirits and Jeanette was there to support him.  David Jr's wife Cindy and I were high school classmates and I am so glad we have been able to maintain our friendship. I have come to know David Jr and Rodger and you guys are Great friends (Brothers) to me. Thank you for all these many years!

Aunt Jeanette was a big part of my local ‘family’ for many years -  We had many long conversations about life  and family  - She always loved to share new, creative ideas and try out her recipes on me!   Her love for God and keeping a Christian home have been an example I’ll never forget... Her strength and wisdom are  missed....

Dear Cousins:  David & Cindy, Rodger & Judy,

	My sincerest sympathy is with you all during this difficult time. Your mother
	was a wonderful woman, full of strength and goodness. She was always so 
	proud of her sons and their families. Her kindness, compassion and spirit 
	will live on through you.

	I especially like the photograph of Aunt Jeanette that you used on the letter		
	announcing her death.  As a child, I recall seeing it on top of Grandma 
	Vaughn's piano. I thought she looked like one of the movie stars of the day.

	Over the years, although we did not live close to each other, we managed to
	stay in touch via phone calls and cards. Your father and mother came to visit us 
	about once a year at Houston, then San Antonio and Spring Branch. My mother 
	was living with us during most (thirty-five years) of this time. 

	I recall when your Mother would bring you boys to Susquehanna for a
	visit in the summer. We would go over to Grandma and Grandpa's and 
	cousin Jay would come up the hill and we children would romp about the yard 
	and take turns sitting on the swing that Grandpa made from a wagon seat. 
	Since you were still rather young boys, you may or may not remember sitting 
	on this swing, watching the trains as they chugged along the tracks and belched thick 	black smoke, amazing to me, all this on top of an incredibly long, high stone bridge. Visiting our grandparents gave us a place to daydream, watch Grandma feed peanuts to their pet squirrel and go pick huckleberries with Grandpa. 
	Your mother gave me her collection of her Nancy Drew Mysteries and 
	The Bobbsy Twins adventures, which I read and re-read. This was a huge
	gift at the time and for me, a wonderful memory forever.
	You may recall, I was the only girl with seven brothers growing up on the farm just 	outside Deposit, New York.  As the last living survivor, I am 81 years “young” 
	but in somewhat precarious health. Therefore, I regret 	that I will not be able to 
	attend.  God Bless

I am Jan’s hairdresser. Started doing her hair in late 69 or early 70’s at Wiltshire hair salon , she followed me to all the places I moved to and we ended our journey at J C Penny at Alliance . Loved this lady and always enjoyed her stories of flowerbeds, sewing and family. She will be missed but rejoicing in a much better place. Kay 

Aunt Jeanette, along with Uncle David, shared kind, generous Christian lives with me and my family.  Our oldest daughter, Jeanette, is Aunt Jeanette’s namesake. Starting college in the 70’s, away from home, their home was always open for my visits.  They shared their times at American Airlines with simulator and hanger tours.  Aunt Jeanette was a faithful volunteer with the Bible memory program Awana, building a foundation of Christian values in children.  She was a tremendous blessing and will be missed, as she is celebrating now, with Uncle David, in Heaven.

Jeanette is survived by sons, David and wife Cindy of Keller, TX and Rodger and wife Judy of Tulsa, OK; cousin, Louise of Fort Worth, TX; nephew, Jay and wife Vonda of Caldwell, ID; niece, Sandra of Spring Branch, TX; grand-daughter-in-law, Jennifer of Fort Worth, TX; grandson, Jeff and wife, Tara of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter, Michelle and husband Ricky Johnson of Phoenix, AZ and great-grandchildren Daniel Aaron, Catilin, Owen and Caden.

In addition to Jeanette’s parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David of 66 years, her brothers George and Russ, and her grandson Aaron Eckhardt.
