Celebrating the Life of Jeanne Ash

Jeanne Ash, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and dedicated former school teacher, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 29, 2026. She was 79 years old.

Born on September 24, 1946 in Morristown, New Jersey, Jeanne lived a life rooted in love, learning, and family. It was in Omaha, Nebraska, that she met the love of her life, Lt. Colonel Leonard Ash, with whom she built a beautiful partnership and a warm, welcoming home.

Jeanne poured her heart into everything she did. As a school teacher, she shaped young minds with patience and care. In her personal life, she found endless joy in the quiet comfort of a good book and the warmth of her kitchen, where she loved to bake for those she held dear. Above all, her greatest passion and proudest achievement was her family. She was, first and foremost, a wonderful wife and deeply loving mother.

"A mother's love is the heart of the family."

Jeanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Ash, as well as her parents, Marie and Charles Hamilton.

Her legacy of love and kindness lives on through her family. She is survived by:

Her children: Travis Ash, Matthew Ash and his husband, Jason Garner; and James Ash.

Her brother: Gary Hamilton.

Her legacy: A beautiful circle of beloved friends, grandchildren and a cherished great-grandchild, all of whom brought immense joy to her later years.

Jeanne's warmth, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Details regarding a memorial service will be shared by the family at a later date.
