Jeremy Joel “J-boy” Celis - beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew & cousin - was called to his eternal rest on February 1, 2024, at his home in Fort Worth, Texas, at age 46. Jeremy was born on Guam on August 31, 1977, as the eldest son of John Manibusan Celis and Barbara Alquero Celis.
Jeremy found the love of his life Ledean “Din” Sablan in 1998 while working at the Guam Waterworks Authority (GWA). They were married in May of 2008. He served with the Guam Army National Guard in 2000 and joined the Guam Police Department in 2005 where he started on Patrol and then moved into the CSI Unit. Jeremy and Din, along with their children, settled in Fort Worth in 2016. He was employed at Lockheed-Martin until his passing.
To everyone who knew him, Jeremy was a down-to-earth kind of guy, had the sweetest heart, was thoughtful, compassionate, committed, hard-working, funny, and friendly with a loveable personality. He had an infectious laugh & smile. Jeremy loved his family fiercely, and gave of himself at every opportunity he could, from volunteering at local Guam schools for Career Day, to simply whipping up his infamous “secret sauce” barbeque chicken recipe for family gatherings. He especially loved his DJ side business because it allowed him to meet so many people and invite them into friendship. J-boy had an undeniable talent for singing, fishing, and water sports, and liked visiting craft beer breweries. He loved golfing with his buddies, playing video games, taking road trips with his family, and barbequing - even in negative-degree weather.
Jeremy leaves behind a legacy filled with hard work, commitment, loyalty, wit, and charm. He was extremely loved and will be missed by many.
