Jeri Lynn (Stewart) Moore of Hurst, Texas, passed away on June 13, 2026. Jeri was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Born on November 24, 1944, in Godley, Texas, to Dot and Pat Stewart, Jeri grew up in a loving, lively family with three sisters, Joyce, Judy, and Janelle, and her baby brother, James. After attending Diamond Hill Jarvis High School, she began a long and meaningful career as a phlebotomist with Austin Blood Components, advancing from a front desk attendant to regional manager. Her compassion and steady leadership touched countless lives.
Jeri was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and painting but her happiest moments were those shared with her family and friends - especially the years spent watching her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren grow.
In 1968, she married her beloved husband, Joe, and together they shared 58 years of partnership, laughter, and unwavering devotion. After retirement, Joe and Jeri enjoyed traveling together, sharing a deep appreciation for Southern history, regional food, and culture.
She is survived by her husband Joe; children Jill (Steve) Bent, Jack (Diane) Moore, and Ravonnia (Mark) Ellis; grandchildren Kody (Matt) Hajda, Shane (Emilie) Moore, Morgan (James) Moore, and Garrett (Sierra) Moore; and great‑grandchildren Maize, Maelynn, Zane, and Jaxson. She is also survived by one sister Janelle (Sonny) Souder, a brother James (Sallie) Stewart, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 1:30 PM. The family will welcome visitors beginning at 12:30 PM, immediately prior to the ceremony.
