

Jerry Lewis Head was born on September 28, 1936. He was raised by his grandparents, Elmo and Rosey Head, in Plainview, Texas. Jerry went to school in Lubbock, Texas and played quarterback for Lubbock High Westerners. He also loved driving his friends around in the Hudson automobile. After completing high school, Jerry went to Paris Junior College to play football. He was a football enthusiast throughout and became an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Jerry loved watching the Cowboys and will certainly be watching the SuperBowl from Heaven this year although his beloved Cowboys didn't make it.
Jerry always kept a beautiful yard. He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and those who knew him compared his yard to a well maintained, manicured golf course. His hobbies included playing golf in his younger years and as time went by he acquired an interest in computers. Jerry loved receiving and emailing funny jokes and information with his circle of friends. The joke that circulated and was well known with his friends was Jerry's "chicken legs". Everyone that knew Jerry knew that he was a kind and loving person. He loved dressing up like Santa at Christmas time when his girls were young which remains a fond memory.
Jerry had a career in banking and finance. He was a financial consultant for companies such as Borg-Warner, TransAmerica, and Nissan Corporation.
Jerry will be missed by all of his family and many friends.
Preceding him in death is his father Owen Lewis Head and his wife, Ruby. His mother, Martha (Marge) Elizabeth Hodges; brother, Jimmy Dave Owen; sister, Blanche Delores Owen; and his daughter, Mandee Lee Head.
Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Keila Ann Head; Jeri Lou McKinney (husband - Paul); Allison Johnson (husband - Tom); and sons, Jimmy and Steve Ayres. Sister, Jean Fowler (husband - Bill); son-in-law, John Markulis. Grandchildren - Mark Markulis of Buffalo, NY; Melinda Markulis of Los Angeles, CA; Annabelle Berkeley Martin of Fort Worth, TX; Kayla Calicoat of Keller, TX; and Davin Martinez of Carrollton, TX. Great Grandchild - Alex Martinez. Nieces - Verdana Stephens; Tammy Owen Steele of Alaska. Nephews - Brett Stephens and Randy Stephens
Jerry Head also leaves behind many other nieces, nephews and cousins to cherish his memory.
