

Mr. Jeffery was born on November 15, 1932 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Grapevine. After living in numerous cities, he and his family moved to Marlin, Texas in 1946. He graduated from high school in Marlin in 1951 and graduated from Texas A&M in 1955 with a degree in architecture. He was a proud member of the Corp of Cadets. Mr. Jeffery worked for an architectural firm in Waco, Texas for several years and then moved to Fort Worth where he continued to work for several architectural firms during the next few years. In 1959 he and his family moved to Irving and resided there until moving to Grapevine in 2005. In 1964, he opened his own architectural firm and continued practicing architecture until 2009, when he retired. During his long career, he had many projects with the Irving Independent School District, the City of Irving and numerous other commercial and residential projects. He received many awards for his design excellence and business integrity. He was a member of the American Institute of Architecture, Ameritus, and the Texas Society of Architecture. He served on the Board of Directors at the Irving YMCA for many years.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Leah, the love of his life, of 57 years, his son Scott and wife Denise and their two sons, Chase and Cole; son, Kevin and his wife Cindy and their two sons, Austin and Garrett; his daughter, Laurie Beynon and husband Jimmy and their daughter, Bayli and son Preston; his son Kyle and wife Donna and their sons, Tyler, Trip, Link, Seven and daughters, River and Rain; his brother-in-law Willett Stallworth and his wife Connie; nephew Jack Stallworth and wife Christina, their children Evelyn, Vivian and Harmon; niece Angela Lea and her husband Fletcher, their children Britton and daughter Jetta and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Sidney Jeffery.
Mr. Jeffery was a devoted father and proud grandfather. He was also a very proud "Aggie" and enjoyed keeping up with all areas of recruiting and enjoyed the paths that so many of the graduates took. He spent many years coaching at the YMCA and then in the little league football program in Irving. For almost thirty years he worked tirelessly with the youth and enjoyed all aspects of working with them. Many who knew him lovingly referred to him as "Coach".
